Sorority sponsors financial workshop

The Kappa Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. will present a workshop entitled “Budgeting to Build Financial Wealth” Saturday, Sept.r 24, at 11:30 a.m. The workshop will be held at the Victoria Public Library, 1417 7th St. in Victoria.

Workshop speaker will be Christopher G. Smith, CEO of G & G Demands, LLC. G & G Demands provides consulting services to small businesses. Smith is a former U.S. Marine with experience as an Embarkation/Logistics Specialist. Smith, the son of George and Mary Smith of Lunenburg County, is employed at the State Department in Washington, D.C.

Smith’s presentation will include a broad spectrum of financial strategies, business practices and examples for achieving financial freedom. This workshop is designed to help families and the community to grow, to invest in their future and to develop solid financial strategies.

The workshop is  open to the public and everyone is invited to attend.
