What is Medicare and how does it work? What about coverage for prescription drugs? Are there health care services and expenses that are not covered under Medicare?
September’s C.O.R.E.(Community Out-Reach Education) Program at VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital can help answer those type of questions.
“This free program will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. in the VCU Health CMH Education Center Auditorium at 125 Buena Vista Circle in South Hill,” according to a recent press release from the hospital.
“There will be a panel of experts discussing Medicare and the different ways to supplement Medicare coverage in retirement. The panel will include the following: Mary Ann Cundiff, patient account director at VCU Health CMH; Jo Ann Powell, Virginia Insurance Counseling & Assistance Program Coordinator at LCAAA; and Melissa Morris, medication assistance Caseworker with VCU health CMH’s Pharmacy Connection.”
Reservations are not required. For more information or to register to attend, call (434) 774-2550 or visit www.vcu-cmh.org.
