Katy Overby of Kenbridge, who is Prince Edward County Extension Agent, visited with the Ruth Adams Garden Club, which began its new year Sept. 28.

Members gathered flowers and other plant materials from their yards and headed to the Prince Edward County Extension Office.

For the program, Overby demonstrated creative arrangements using seasonal materials on hand. She also taught the group how to create a tall arrangement from materials she had gathered.

Hostess was Betty McBride and co-hostess was Carol Fields.
