Last Tuesday, Lunenburg voters went to the polls to cast their ballots for president, the Fifth Congressional District and two Constitution of Virginia amendments.
Question 1 on the ballot dealt with whether to constitutionalize the commonwealth’s “right-to-work” law. Question 2 on the ballot asked whether the spouses of first responders who died in the line of duty should be exempt from paying real property taxes on their primary residences.
Lunenburg voters went mostly Republican, choosing Donald Trump for president and Tom Garrett for the Fifth District. The majority of county voters answered “no” for Question 1 and “yes” for Question 2.
The charts on this page reflect the voting at each precinct for each candidate or issue on the ballot.
Each race saw votes from the following districts, in addition to absentee and provisional ballots: Plymouth, Browns Store, Rosebud, Flat Rock, Arrowhead Gun Club, Pleasant Grove, Reedy Creek, People’s Community Center, Hound’s Creek, Meherrin Fire Department and Victoria Public Library.
There were no races for local offices.
