Central High School senior Kamren Field won third place in VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital’s annual window painting contest. This year, the hospital held the contest Nov. 29 to mark the beginning of the holiday season for the hospital.

This year, VCU Health CMH had nine students from three area high schools: Brunswick Academy, Central High School and Park View High School. VCU Health CMH employees, patients and visitors look forward to the Christmas paintings created by these talented students each year.

This year’s theme was “Sounds of the Season” and students were asked to paint their favorite Christmas song. Students were judged on creativity, neatness, theme development and a written description of their window.

Winners of the VCU Health CMH Annual Window Painting Contest earned prizes of $100 for first place, $75 for second place and $50 for third place. W. Scott Burnette, CEO of VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital, handed out the awards during the Tree of Love Ceremony held on Dec. 1.
