James Russell Edmonds, 87, died on November 19, 2016 in New York City. He was the brother of Florence Johnson of Kenbridge.

A funeral service was held December 2 at Mother AME Zion Church in New York. Burial was in the Cypress Hill Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY.
