The Central High School varsity boys basketball team is off to a 2-5 start this season, splitting its most recent games.

The Chargers fell 55-48 to host Bluestone High School on Friday and defeated visiting William Campbell High School 75-54 on Wednesday. The win was the Chargers’ first since topping Randolph-Henry High School by 10 points in their season opener Nov. 30.

After a brief Christmas break, Central will return to action Tuesday at 7 p.m. against host Rustburg High School.
