Rites held for Calvin Keath Cheatham, Sr.

Calvin Keath Cheatham Sr. passed away on January 9, 2017. He was born on October 17, 1963, in Meherrin, to the late Linwood Cheatham Sr. and Ethel Carter. He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and was educated in the Lunenburg County School System.

Calvin leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Tammy Cheatham; children, Constance Cheatham (Tony Gamble), Sabrina Cheatham, and Calvin Cheatham Jr.; grandchild, Ezekiel Gamble “Zek”; siblings, Deloise Cheatham, Shirley (Gayle) Johnson, Judy Scott, Brenda Julius Doswell, Linwood Cheatham Jr., and Bernard Cheatham; mother-in-law, Pearl Walton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Reginald (Daisy) Walton, Geraldine (Howard) Pride, Willis Walton, Rosemary (Alexander) Biggers, Mable (Roger) Ridley, Terrence (Wanda) Walton and David (Tarsha) Walton; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He also leaves five godchildren, Gayle Johnson Jr., Clarence Walton, Sherrell Smith, Nicole Hairston and Sherard Walton.

A funeral service was held Monday, January 16 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Meherrin, with Pastor W. Shifflett officiating.
