Ripberger Public Library in Kenbridge is currently exhibiting the artwork of Jerry Seamster.

Seamster was born and raised in Victoria. He attended Richmond Professional Institute (now VCU), where he received a bachelor’s degree in communication arts and design. Following college, he lived and worked as a graphic designer in Northern Virginia.

After retirement in 2008, he moved back to Lunenburg County with his family and settled in Kenbridge.

He first began painting in oils and with felt-tip pens, and later worked in various media. His current exhibit includes portraits in oil, acrylic and cut-paper technique.

His work will be on display through March. The library is open Mondays 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Fridays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m.-noon.
