Kiosk touts Victoria’s history

Several panels showcasing the history of the town of Victoria and the importance of the railroad to the community have been erected at the town’s new kiosk and plaza, located at the curve where Sixth Street meets Railroad Park near the caboose. The interpretive panels will offer visitors and residents alike information on the town’s foundations and rich past. New landscaping has also been planted around the kiosk, adding aesthetic beauty to the new feature that we hope will be embraced by the community. The kiosk and plaza are part of the town’s streetscape project that began in 2008. We commend the town and its staff for their hard work in beautifying Victoria through this project, and for adding this needed feature to the park.  (Send us a “Pic Me Up” with names and information to PicMeUp@KVDispatch.com)
