Central High School’s junior varsity softball team has shown itself competitive this season, but it is off to an 0-2 start to its 2017 campaign. The Lady Chargers lost 11-1 to host Nottoway High School’s JV team on Thursday, but they started out the season March 21 with a 16-12 home loss to the JV team from Buckingham County High School. Freshman Savanna Fowler, pictured at right, and the Lady Chargers will look for their first win Thursday when they host Bluestone High School’s JV squad.
