Lady Chargers move above .500 with big win

Central High School’s varsity softball team improved to 6-5 for the season when it routed visiting Randolph-Henry High School on Thursday. Two days prior, the Lady Chargers played in a tight contest against visiting Cumberland High School and ended up falling 6-5 to the Lady Dukes. Progressing through their regular-season rematches with James River District opponents, the Lady Chargers visit Prince Edward County High School on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. and host Buckingham County High School on Thursday at 5 p.m.
