Thomas earns Microsoft Office certification

Central High School senior Tylik Thomas who earned his Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Master certification in Office 2013.

According to a press release, “this credential provides employers proof that individuals have gained broader, deeper Microsoft Office expertise. As a MOS 2013 Master, individuals differentiate themselves from their peers by possessing this professional recognition that is accepted around the world. To earn the MOS Master certification in Office 2013, you must pass all of four the required exams for a specific track.”

Thomas completed the Word 2013 track earning the Word Expert (Parts 1 and 2), Excel and PowerPoint, as his fourth elective certification. “Earning a MOS Master Certification demonstrates the deepest level of skills necessary to proficiently use Office programs,” according to the press release. “By becoming a Microsoft Office Master, an individual’s knowledge, efficiency and productivity increase thereby elevating professional value and advancement.”

After graduation, Tylik will be attending Old Dominion University.
