On June 1, a scholarship from the Scholarship Fund of the Grand Lodge A.F. & A.M. of Virginia was presented to Bobbi Joe E. Carwile, a graduating senior at Central High School of Lunenburg.

Del. Tommy Wright, a member of Victoria Masonic Lodge 304, offered the presentation on behalf of the Grand Lodge and the 27th Masonic District.

Scholarship recipients are deserving students residing in Virginia who are selected on the basis of merit and need.

Bobbi Joe is the daughter of Shelly Justice and Robert Carwile, a member of Burke Masonic Lodge 147 in Burkeville.

Bobbi Joe will attend the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg this fall.
