Hankins and Payne attend bill signing

Board of Supervisors’ member and Vice President of the Lunenburg Chamber of Commerce Mike Hankins, left, and Chamber of Commerce President Mel Payne recently attended a bill signing on the South Portico of the State Capitol in Richmond where Senate Bill 1574 was signed into to law by Gov. Terry McAuliffe, middle. This bill was patroned by Sen. Frank Ruff, according to a press release. “The law (regards the) Virginia Economic Development Partnership Authority’s membership, powers and duties. In short, this law should cut government red-tape and help start new business and create jobs in Virginia,” officials said in the release.
