Connie Lapallo, author of the “Jamestown Sky trilogy,” will be speaking and offering her books for sale at a signing at the Sunday meeting of the Lunenburg County Historical Society (LCHS). The meeting will take place at 2 p.m. in the courtroom of Lunenburg’s historic 1827 courthouse.
According to a press release, Lapallo has just published the third well-researched historical novel in the series, “The Sun is but a Morning Star.” The trilogy focuses on the difficulties of the first 45 years of the Jamestown settlers as told through the eyes of the historic character Joan Peirce, who came to Virginia in 1609.
“Lapallo, a popular speaker as well as author, visited LCHS at a well-attended meeting several years ago after the publication of the second book in the Jamestown series. For more information (visit) www.ConnieLapallo.com.”
According to the press release, another feature of the LCHS meeting will be the dedication on the courthouse square of an Osage orange tree, an offspring of the centuries-old Osage orange tree at Patrick Henry’s Red Hill.
