JULY 3-7

LUNENBURG 4-H CAMP WEEK, at Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center in Appomattox. This camp is geared for youth ages 9-13 (as of Sept. 30, 2017). The total cost per child will be $195 which includes overnight lodging, meals, insurance, counselor and adult supervision, classes, program costs, camp T-shirt and transportation to and from camp. Campers have the opportunity to participate in exciting classes, with many options to choose from, including scuba, canoeing, riflery, archery, swimming and horsemanship. There are also swimming and recreation times, special evening events, songs, games and much more. JULY 9

ANNUAL HOMECOMING, 11 am. at Monroe Baptist Church. The celebration will begin with the regular 11 a.m. service preached by the Rev. G. Wilson Monroe. Lunch will be served following the morning service. At 2:30 p.m., the homecoming service will begin. The Rev. Richard Bailey Jr. from the Chester Grove Baptist Church, Amelia, will bring forth the word. Revival services will begin on July 10-14. Prayer and praise service will start at 7:30 p.m. and the preached word at 8 p.m. nightly. Various preachers and choirs from the community will be present to minister. All are invited to attend.

SERVICE, 11 a.m. at Pleasant Oak Baptist Church. Pastor Green will deliver the morning message for the morning service. Dinner will follow at 1:30 p.m. Guest minister/preacher for the 3 p.m. homecoming service will be the Rev. Lewis M. Watson and the Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Red House. Revival will be held July 10-14. Prayer and praise being at 7 p.m. with services at 7:30 p.m. nightly.

ANNUAL HOMECOMING, at Mt. Ellis Baptist Church, 8409 George Washington Ave., Keysville. Praise service will begin at 10:45 a.m. and worship service will begin at 11 a.m. Pastor Wesley will deliver the word and the Mt. Ellis Baptist Church Inspirational Chorus sing songs of praise. Everyone is invited to come fellowship with us.

JULY 9 AND 23

JULY SERVICES, 11 a.m. at Cedar Creek Baptist Church, 2104 Jonesboro Road, Kenbridge. Speaker will be the Rev. Bernard P. Page, associate minister of Fourth Mount Zion Baptist Church, Crewe. Sunday School is held each Sunday at 10 a.m.

JULY 10-14

ANNUAL REVIVAL, 7 p.m. at Mt. Ellis Baptist Church, 8409 George Washington Highway, Keysville. Prayer and praise service begins at 7 p.m., with worship service beginning at 7:30 p.m. nightly. There will be different preachers each night.

JULY 12-13

4-H CLOVERBUD DAY CAMP, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Victoria Library. Cost will be $15 for the two days and you will need to bring a packed lunch each day.  Campers will participate in fun activities, crafts and games. JULY 12-14

ANNUAL REVIVAL, 7:30 p.m. at Union R.Z.U.A. Church, Meredithville. Various ministers and choirs will perform each night. Prayer and praise services will begin nightly at 7:30 p.m. and worship service will commence at 8 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.

JULY 17-21

CAMP FUN-TASTIC, at different locations across Lunenburg and surrounding counties for the week for ages 5-18. Cost is $60 for the week and participants need to bring a packed lunch each day unless told different by 4-H agent. Campers will participate in a fun week of different activities such as swimming, games, putt putt, a visit to Kerr Lake and much more. Spots will limited to 10 campers being that organizers have a 12 passenger van. If you would like to sign-up, contact the Extension office ASAP.
