GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY MEETING, 11 a.m. at 200 David Bruce Ave. (intersection of routes 40 and 47) in Charlotte Court House. Guest speaker for this month’s program will be Connie Routon Purvis. The topic of her presentation is titled “Grandma’s Garden: A gift to the Generations, A study of Flowers and Shrubs passed from Grandmother to Daughter to Grandchild.” The programs are free and open to everyone. HOMECOMING SERVICE, 11 a.m. at Cedar Creek Baptist Church, 2104 Jonesboro Road, Kenbridge. Preacher will be the Rev. Albert Walker Jr. of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Clarksville. Dinner to follow service. Revival will be held August 16-18 with different speakers each night. Everyone is welcome.

HOMECOMING/REVIVAL at Star Light Baptist Church. The Rev. Ray A. Smith will deliver the message for the homecoming service at 11 a.m. Dinner will follow. Revival services will be held August 14-18 with prayer and praise service at 7 p.m. with service to follow at 7:15 p.m. There will be different preachers and choirs each night. Everyone is welcome.

AUGUST 16-18

ANNUAL REVIVAL, 7:30 p.m. at Tussekiah Baptist Church, Lunenburg Court House. Guest preacher for the revival will be the Rev. Isaiah Hurt along with his choir and congregation. Homecoming will follow on Aug. 20 at 11 a.m. with Bethany Baptist Church pastor the Rev. Carlton O. Clark Jr. along with his choir, ushers, deacons and congregation. Dinner will be served after the service.
