Kathy Maddux-Butler recently retired as an educator from the Simsbury Public Schools in Simsbury Connecticut after 36 years of teaching (1981-2017).

Kathy, a native of Kenbridge, graduated from Central High School in 1977 and in 1981 received her bachelor of science degree with honors from Hampton University in Hampton.

She also received two master degrees in language arts and reading from Central Connecticut University.

Kathy is the daughter of Lonell R. Maddux and the late Walter Scott Maddux, of Kenbridge.
