SECOND PASTORAL ANNIVERSARY, 2 p.m. of Pastor Anita Lewis at New Gilfield R.Z.U.A. Church. All are welcome. Dinner will be served.

GOSPEL EXPLOSION, 3 p.m. Gethsemane Holy Church. There will be praise teams, praise dancers, mimes and inspirational choirs. Come out and help us celebrate Jesus. No tickets, just a good will offering. This service will be held at the People’s Community Center, 1021 Tidewater Ave., Victoria.

PROGRAM OF PRAISE MUSIC, 11 a.m., at Victoria Christian Church, featuring the 40-member “Voices of Canaan” from Canaan Baptist Church in Washington, D.C.

82ND HOMECOMING SERVICE, 10:45 a.m., Concord Baptist Church in Chase City. with prayer and praise, and the 82nd Homecoming Service beginning at 11 a.m. Pastor Raleigh M. Bagley III will preach the sermon and the Calvary Baptist Church Choir will provide the music. Dinner will be served immediately following the service. The community is invited.

80TH HOMECOMING SERVICE, 11 a.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church, located at 1197 Burkeville Road, Victoria. Pastor Trava Hawkins will render the homecoming message. Dinner will be served. All are welcome.

HOMECOMING AND REVIVAL, at Saint Matthew’s Baptist Church, Kenbridge, will have its homecoming service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kevin A. Robinson delivering the message and the Gospel Chorus will render the music. Dinner will be served in the H.R. Watkins’ Fellowship Hall after the service. Revival services will begin on Monday, spanning Aug. 21-26, beginning at 7:30 p.m. nightly. The Rev. David L. Banks Sr., pastor of the Little Bethel Baptist Church and Shiloh Baptist Church-Dinwiddie, will be the guest minister for the week. All are invited to come and share in these religious services.

HOMECOMING/REVIVAL at St. Louis Baptist Church, Charlotte Court House. The Rev. Henry L. Fleshman, Jr. pastor of St. Louis will deliver the message at 11 a.m. Dinner will follow. Revival services will be held Aug.28-Sept. 1 with prayer and praise service at 7 p.m. There will be different choirs each night. Everyone is welcome.

FAMILY AND FARM DAY, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Virginia Tech Southern Piedmont Agricultural Research and Extension Center located at 2375 Darvills Road in Blackstone. In a family atmosphere, have fun while learning about Virginia’s largest and oldest industry, agriculture. Test your navigating skills in the corn maze. Express your artistic abilities with seed art and pine cone bird feeders. See cows, chickens, alpacas, sheep, goats, owls and horses. Watch a cow being milked, milk a “no-kick” cow and see how bees make honey. Learn about aquaculture and catch a backyard bass. See what we make from peanuts, soybeans, corn, wheat and cotton. FALL REHEARSAL, 6-8 p.m. for the Southside Virginia Community College Chorus at South Hill Presbyterian Church, 914 Mecklenburg Ave., South Hill. CLASS REUNION, 6 p.m. of the Nottoway Senior High Class of 1977. Cocktails and dinner will be held at the Blackstone Herb Cottage. Cost is $35.
