Here’s to the volunteers

Because of the hard work of volunteers and staff with the merged Kenbridge Emergency Squad (KES) and Victoria Fire and Rescue, a new ambulance has been purchased and remodeling of the former KES building has taken place. According to a press release from the Town of Victoria, more upgrades are planned, including improvements to cardiac monitors used for performing EKGs and taking vital signs of patients. The new ambulance, pictured, will be housed at Station 7 — the new KES location on Kenbridge’s Main Street. We commend the staff of the merged agency for working hard in upgrading the vehicles, facilities and tools used to save lives and to keep us out of harm’s way.
