Wins on court, loss on gridiron for Kavaliers

Kenston Forest School’s volleyball teams swept their opponents last week, going 5-0, while the school’s varsity football team on the road to the Hampton Roads Generals on Saturday afternoon.

The Kavaliers fell 28-0 on the gridiron in Chesapeake.

“We had a number of injuries at key positions, but I’m proud our boys played tough and with heart the entire game,” Kenston Forest Head Coach Tom Inge said.

On Thursday, Kenston Forest’s varsity and junior varsity (JV) girls volleyball teams defeated host Christchurch School.

The varsity team won 25-23, 26-24, 29-27, and the JV team won 25-16, 25-12.

On Sept. 5, Kenston Forest’s varsity, JV and middle school (MS) teams played host to Richmond Christian School.

The varsity Lady Kavs won 25-12, 10-25, 26-24, 18-25, 15-6. The JV Lady Kavs won 25-6, 25-18, and the MS Lady Kavs won 25-20, 25-8.

Kenston Forest’s varsity and JV squads visited Tidewater Academy Tuesday, and the MS and varsity squads host Amelia Academy Thursday at 5 and 6 p.m., respectively.

The varsity football Kavaliers (0-2) visit Brunswick Academy on Friday at 7 p.m.
