National Public Lands Day celebrated at SRSP

Staunton River State Park (SRSP) will be celebrating National Public Lands Day on Saturday from 10 a.m.-noon.

In honor of the Civilian Conservation Corps, which built SRSP in 1936, the park will be hosting a tree planting.

The park would also like to dedicate this event to the wonderful inhabitants of Virginia. Without the support of the Citizens of the Commonwealth, State Parks would not be possible. This will be a great opportunity to learn about and take advantage of some of the amazing resources that Virginia has to offer.

All are welcome, and there is no extra event fee. For more information, call (434) 572-4623.
