Kenston Forest School’s (KFS) varsity football team led 14-6 at halftime Friday night against visiting Grace Christian School when a faulty transformer limited the lighting on the field and led to a stoppage in play for the night.
Joe Maione, athletic director for KFS, said the 14-6 score will likely end up being declared the final score for the game.
He said the schools are still checking a few possible dates on which to finish the game, but it is not likely since it is such a long trip for Grace Christian.
It would be the first win of the season for the Kavs.
In the game, Kenston Forest’s Ja’Von Carter ran for 62 yards in the first half and caught a pass for 26 more. Moe Morrison scored on a four-yard run, and Jah’Tavious Houston scored on a three-yard sprint.
Robert Motley led the Kavs with five tackles, and Hunter Evans intercepted a pass.
