David Junior Jones affectionately known as “Bucky” was born on August 4, 1961 to David Leonard and Nora Mae Winn Jones.  He departed this life on Oct. 20, 2017. David received his education in Lunenburg Public Schools. He had a love for working on cars.  David was employed at McAden Dairy where he was lead Mechanic. To know him was to love him.  Bucky touched so many lives.  He will be truly missed.

David leaves to cherish his memories, four children: Mark Lamar Hawkins, Brian David Jones, Davita Marie Jones and Samson Hosea Williams Jones, mother, Nora Mae Jones, four brothers, Edward (Mary) Kenneth (Mary), Tony, Timothy (Brandy), four sisters, Brenda Jackson (Cecil), Melanie Jones (Robert), Marci Lewis (Nick), Vonnie Jones, seven grandchildren, Jaron, Jakayln, Jamirus, Jakeem, Jadeja, Jordan, and Jamir, Fiancé’; Linda Renee Speight and her family, four aunts; Mattie Beale, Emestine Keene, Lula Baskerville and Alberta Horton, one uncle, Fred Winn, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, David was preceded in death by his father David Leonard Jones and two brothers, Wayne Leonard Jones and William Randolph Jones.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Oct. 29 at People’s Community Center with The Rev. Irene Allen officiating. Interment in New Grove Baptist Church cemetery.
