The Victoria Fire and Rescue Annual Bucket Brigade was held Friday and Saturday, beating chilly weather and rain to raise funds.
Contributions collected between the two days exceeded $8,700, according to the Town Manager Rodney Newton. The funds will be used for fire and
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) operations.
The cost of equipment is steadily rising as are the number of incidents that the department responds to, Newton said.
Newton cited that the department is appreciative of the contributions made to the organization.
To mail in a donation, the department can be reached at: Victoria Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 1419, Victoria, VA 23974.
