Chasteen Shirley Neal, Jr., 93 of Victoria Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 8, 2017. He was preceded in death by two wives, Celeste Burton Neal and Alyene Neal; a son, Ronnie Green; a daughter, Doris Burton; and a brother, Garnett Neal. He is survived by his wife Rose Neal; sons, Curtis Neal (Irene), Butch Neal (Shirley), Donald Green and John Burton; daughters, Sylvia Duvall (Winston), Audrey Joyner (Ray), Jean Centner (John) and Barbara Oakes. He was “Papa” to 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter and brother Wayne Neal (Ellen). Shirley served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of VFW Post 9954 and Masonic Lodge 304.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the Victoria Christian Church with interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Victoria. Please consider donations to your favorite charity in memory of Shirley. Online condolences may be made at www.staplesfh.com.
