Betty Bohannon King, 64, of Kenbridge, Va. went to be with the Lord on  Nov. 18, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Betty Bohannon; sister of the late, Patty Watson, Charles Bohannon, Harry Bohannon and Nellie Hazlewood.  She is survived by her husband, James W. “Butch” King; her son, Brian King and his wife Stacey;  daughter, Tina Faye King;  grandchildren, Josh Martin, Hannah Perry, Alex King, Shelby King and Madison Thompson; her sisters, Dallas Abernathy (Joe), Virginia Langford and Lillian Osborne (Garland); one brother Andrew Bohannon, Jr. (Doris).

Betty was a dedicated officer at Nottoway Correctional Center for over twenty years. She was a member of  Concord Baptist Church, Chase City, Va., where funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017 at 2 p.m. with interment in the church cemetery.
