It is with great disappointment and considerable regret that the Lunenburg County Historical Society must announce the cancellation of its Christmas tour at Aspen Hill Farm this weekend, Dec. 16 and 17. Although the event was advertised as a “behind the scenes” tour, the owners believe that the house is not yet complete enough to open it to visitors.

It is the intent of the society to invite you to Aspen Hill next year to what we believe will be a wonderful tour and well worth the wait. This 200-year-old house is a jewel and the restoration and renovation work is exquisite. Next year, you will be able to enjoy it in its entirely finished state. So please consider this a postponement, rather than a complete cancellation.
