Queen Elizabeth Boswell McEachern

Queen Elizabeth Boswell McEachern was born on September 9, 1962 to Clyde and Sarah Freeman Boswell. Queen departed this life and entered eternal rest on Feb. 8, 2018 at VCU/MCV Hospital in Richmond, VA.

At an early age, Queen accepted God as her Lord and Savior and was baptized as a member of the New Galilee Baptist Church Kenbridge, Virginia. She attended Lunenburg County Public Schools and was a graduate of the Class of 1981. Queen later moved to Hampton, VA to babysit Kinte’ for Cousin Ruth and Glen Lewis. During her time in Hampton, she met Gregory McEachern. The two married and Queen moved to Newport News, VA where She joined Faith Baptist Church and also enjoyed worshiping with First Baptist Church on Jefferson Park. Queen and Gregory later moved back to Kenbridge and she reunited with her home church.

For everyone who knew Queen, they knew that she loved supporting the ushers ministry of many different neighboring churches, supporting the Central High School Marching Charger Band and helping others every chance she could. Most importantly, Queen carried an infectious smile that brightened any room she walked in and you could always count on a laugh from her! She always carried a positive attitude and shared the word of God.

Queen is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Sr. and Sarah Boswell, and a sister, Annie Mae Boswell.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted husband: Gregory McEachern; her devoted daughter, Tacarra Marchman; one step-son, Gregory II; one step-daughter: Rashida McEachern; two step-granddaughters: Diamond and Ah’Lyric; two step-grandsons: Gregory III and Jordan; one great-granddaughter: Anaya; three god-sons: Marcus Jefferson, Michael Jones and Quiante Mobley; six sisters: Earo Boswell, Ida Whisonant, Marie Dailey (Anthony), Sarah Boswell, Hattie Farrar (Daniel), Jennie Johnson (Claiborne); five brothers: Julius Boswell (Linda), Clyde Boswell Jr., James L. Boswell (Brenda), Wyatt Boswell, and Linsey Boswell; three brothers-in-law: Charlie Leslie, Leroy Leslie, and Allen Tew; six sisters-in-law, Marie McEachern, Mamie Sanders, Barbara Burke, Rita Shaw (Marvin), Rosa Lee (Jerry), and Georgette Steward (Bobby); three aunts, Geneva F. Ingram, Mary H. Boswell and Florence Lambert; 64 nieces, 84 nephews and a host of cousins, special friends, and extended families.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, 11 a.m. at Central High School, 131 K-V Road, Victoria, Virginia with Rev. Dr. Elnora Miller, Pastor and Rev. Sharon Baskerville, Presiding. Interment was in the Boswell’s Cemetery, Kenbridge, Va.
