Miles Dene Estes, 85, of Victoria, Va. joined his family in Heaven on March 1, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Thompson Estes; parents Willie Tingley Estes and Hilda Mae Schultz Estes; siblings, Carl, Charles, Harley, Duane and George Estes and Wilda Doty. He is survived by his sons David Estes and Marvin Estes (Dawn); two daughters, Carolyn Hankins (Charles) and Hazel Arnold (Wayne); ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joyce C. Estes.

Dene enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and plumber. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a lifetime member of VFW Post 9954.

The family received friends Monday, March 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clarke Funeral Home, Kenbridge where funeral services were held Tuesday, March 6, at 11 a.m. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Victoria.
