Williams charged after drug bust

 A Kenbridge man was charged March 9 with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon following a search at a residence that revealed marijuana, cocaine, a hand gun and more than $2,000 in cash.

Police said the Tri-County Drug and Gang Task Force conducted the search. There were 28 grams each of cocaine and marijuana found in the home, along with the weapon and cash. The task force is comprised of law enforcement from Charlotte and Lunenburg counties and Virginia State Police. One arrest was made. Al M. Williams was charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

According to a statement released by the Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office, the task force will continue the investigation.
