Master Sargent Desmond T. Allen, Sr. a native of Kenbridge, was recently recognized for 20 years of service at his retirement celebration on March 2. Master Sargent Allen was the First Sargent for the 633rd Force Support Squadron, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, where he was responsible for maintaining a mission- ready enlisted force. He is presently a Business Administration graduate student at Regent University. He is married to Kimberly Callahan Allen from Victoria, a Clinical mental health counselor and they have two children. He is a 1997 graduate of Central High School of Lunenburg. He is the son of Reverends Ricky C. and Irene B. Allen of Kenbridge and a member of the Mt. Gazerine Baptist Church in Blackstone. He and his family reside in Yorktown.
