PROGRAM AT RIPBERGER, 3 p.m. entitled Agriculture Around the World, for an in-depth conversation about the future of agriculture on a global scale. Guests to include Rico Zook, Koreen Brennan and Marianne Cicala.

MAY 18

CREWE HOMECOMING FESTIVAL, 5 p.m. -9:30 p.m. at Hooper Park in Crewe. Fun for all. Food available.

MAY 19

CHICKEN SUPPER, 5-7 p.m. at Salem Christian Church, Fort Mitchell. Fried chicken, assorted vegetables, dessert and drink. Eat in or takeout.

A MORNING OF EMPOWERMENT, 10 a.m. sponsored by the Willing Workers’ Ministry of Saint Matthew’s Baptist Church, Kenbridge, a workshop relating to cancer. Sister Pennie Jones Faircloth, Area Supervisor Cancer Society, Virginia Beach, will conduct the worship. She will discuss cancer in women and men. Lunch will be served.

CREWE HOMECOMING FESTIVAL, Old engine and tractor display 9 a.m. Hagberg Park, open house coffee at Crewe Community Center 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., Soap box derby 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. downtown Crewe, Crewe Library open house 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m., Opening Ceremonies noon. Magic show, Nayma San Juan Dancers OJDDA Family Dancers. Events on Main Street include a petting zoo, moonwalk, arts and crafts, train rides for children. Food available.

MAY 20

WHITE ROCK DAY, 3 p.m. at The White Rock AME Zion Church, 1123 Lew Jones Road, Alberta. We will be inducting Tommy Burns and Ricky Burns into “Upon These Rocks.” Dinner will be served.

SPIRITUAL WASHING MACHINE, 3 p.m. at New Gilfield RZUA. It’s clothes washing time. Guest speakers, guest soloist and praise dancers. Sponsored by the Pastor’s Aid.

CHURCH ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Bethlehem RZUA Church, Reedy Creek Road, Lunenburg. The Rev. Geneva Hines will be the guest preacher with music by the New Galilee Baptist Choir. All are welcome.

PASTOR’S 4TH ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Starlight Baptist Church for the Rev. Ray A. Smith. The Rev. Terry Norman and the Sharon Baptist Church of Dinwiddie will be the guest. All are welcome.

USHER’S ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. of the Mt. Bethel Baptist Church senior usher’s ministry. A play entitled “Glory Train” will be presented. Members of the ministry will serve as the cast. All are welcome.

MUSICAL PROGRAM, 3 p.m. of the usher ministry of New Grove Baptist Church, 32 New Grove Road, Kenbridge. Everyone is welcome.

REVIVAL, 7 p.m. nightly at the First Baptist Church, 1197 Burkeville Road, Victoria. There will be different speakers and choirs each night. Come out and be blessed. All are welcome.

4-H FUN DAY IN THE PARK, 10 a.m. Victoria Railroad Park, Victoria. Youth of all ages are welcome. Pick up your passport and explore the opportunities provided by the Virginia 4-H program. Archery, livestock judging and showing, Virginia horse programs and STEM. Activities are free of charge.

JUNE 3

PASTOR ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. for Pastor Kevin A. Robinson at St. Matthew’s Baptist Church, 219 N. Broad St., Kenbridge. The Rev. David L. Banks, Sr. and the Little Bethel Baptist Church, of Stony Creek, will be the guest. All are welcome.
