Central High School’s varsity softball team stumbled briefly last week but got back to their recent winning ways Monday with a 4-1 road win over Bluestone High School. Central lost 7-0 to visiting Amelia County High School on Thursday and narrowly fell 4-3 to host Prince Edward County High School on May 8. Nevertheless, the Lady Chargers (11-6) have won seven of their last nine games going into Wednesday’s regular season finale at Nottoway High School. First pitch is set for 5:30 p.m.
