Central High School’s outdoor track and field program did not produce any winners in the first day of the James River District Championships, but there were Charger standouts Monday at Prince Edward County High School.
Khamell Roberts earned the best placement of any Central athlete at the event. He finished sixth in the boys long jump with a 21-foot 3/4-inch leap, and he also finished sixth in the boys triple jump with a 40-foot 7-inch mark.
In the boys shot put, Central’s Khalil Moore placed seventh with a 34-foot 7-inch throw.
