What’s so special about me?

I was talking to myself the other day and I said, Mary, what is so special about you and what makes you do the things that you do? I thought about it for a while and this is what I came up with.

The most important person in my life is Jesus, and He loves me and makes me feel special. He lets me know that I can do all things with Him and nothing without Him. He has made me a strong, confident, beautiful, loving, kind-hearted, special woman.

I love the color red so much that I used the color as an accent wall in my living room and when I come into the room it gives me life, electrifyingly so. The color red makes me feel special and alive. I feel like I can do anything such as dance, sin and run. By the way, sometimes I go outside, run up the hill to my church, and then run back down to my house; like I said, it makes me feel special and alive.

For most of my life I have lived by the rules, but for once I would like to do something without thinking it out; just do it off the cuff. Get in my car let the windows down and drive until I get tired, then stop and the next day do it all over again. I have said to my husband that we should just get in the car and go; we’ll figure out where we’re going once we start driving. He just looks at me as though I have lost my mind. Even though I laugh at his expression, it doesn’t deter me from my goal. Eventually I will take that trip. I will just get in the car and start driving, destination decided once the wheels start moving. I always tell my sister to keep her bags packed because one day we are hitting the road, Thelma and Louise style, minus the robbery and driving off the cliff.

So to wrap this up, what’s so special about me: I know I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I know that red makes me feel alive, and I can guarantee that one day I am going to hit the road and live life to the fullest. Overall, I think I’m pretty special, hope you think you are as well. Be blessed in Jesus name.
