Saturday was a winning day for the Lunenburg County Youth Baseball League (LCYBL) Majors and Instructional All-Star teams at their respective Dixie Youth Baseball All-Star District 5 tournaments in Victoria.

The LCYBL Major League All-Stars took an early 3-0 lead, but the Charlotte County All-Stars brought the score to 3-2 in the fifth inning. Lunenburg was able to add one more run to emerge as the 4-2 victor in a game that began Friday night before inclement weather delayed it until Saturday afternoon at Lenhart Field.

At 5 p.m. on Sunday, the LCYBL Majors All-Stars take on the Dinwiddie National All-Star team.

The LCYBL Instructional All-Star team continued its dominant run so far, routing the Blackstone All-Stars 14-2 after topping the Crewe-Burkeville All-Stars 14-1

At 5 p.m. on Sunday, Lunenburg faces the Prince Edward-Farmville Youth Association All-Stars, which won their opener against the Charlotte County All-Stars 9-7.
