Nicole Hanks of Lunenburg was among the graduates receiving GED certificates at a ceremony held in Alberta on the Christanna Campus of Southside Virginia Community College. Beginning July 1, 2017, 435 individuals enrolled in the program. Students were from the 10 counties served which include Amelia, Brunswick, Buckingham, Charlotte, Cumberland, Halifax, Lunenburg, Mecklenburg, Nottoway and Prince Edward. Classes and study materials are free and day/ night classes are available in every county. All testing fees are covered by the program.
