The Victoria Fire & Rescue Truck & Tractor Pull has been rescheduled for July 14, Town Manager Rodney Newton confirmed.

Newton said the new day for the pull, set to be held at the Victoria Railroad Park, was announced Thursday.

Gates will open at 2 p.m., with the pull scheduled to start at 6 p.m.

The original event, scheduled for June 2, was canceled due to heavy rainfall.

The vehicle lined up to participate, according to the event page, are Street Gas four-wheel drive, Street Diesel four-wheel drive, 6200 Small Block, 6200 Outlaw/Open (frontwheel drive), semi-trucks and monster trucks.

Newton said it could not be confirmed whether there will be new vehicles taking part in the July 14 event.

Proceeds from the Truck & Tractor Pull, organized by the Town of Victoria and company Dragon Motorsports, based in Dunnsville, go toward Victoria Fire & Rescue.

Newton, in an earlier interview, said the department received a net profit of $25,000 from the two truck and tractor pulls held last year in June and October. The event brings approximately 1,200 spectators from around the region.
