JULY 4

PARADE AND JUBILEE, 9 a.m. sponsored by the Lunenburg Chamber and the Town of Kenbridge. Parade will take place on 5th Avenue, Kenbridge with the festival beginning at 10 a.m. in the park with food, games, a petting zoo, bouncy house, DJ, vendors and more.

JULY 7

4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION, at Meherrin Fire Department. Stew will be ready at 11am. We will have vendors and music beginning at 4 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by Step Back Band. Free admission. Boot drive at the gate. Fireworks show will begin at 9:30 p.m. Alcohol and pets are prohibited.

JULY 8

DEACONS, DEACONESSES AND OFFICERS DAY, 3 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church, Chase City. Apostle Elizabeth Bagley and the New Life Apostolic Church of Jesus will be in charge of the service.

WORSHIP SERVICE, 11 a.m. at Cedar Creek Baptist Church, 2104 Jonesboro Road, Kenbridge. Speaker will be the Rev. Brian A. Walker of Second Baptist Church, Chester.

HOMECOMING, 1:30 p.m. at Pleasant Oak Baptist Church with the Rev. Jonathan King. Dinner will be served.

ANNUAL WOMEN’S DAY, 11 a.m. at New Grove Baptist Church, Kenbridge. Guest preacher will be the Rev. Patricia Barnette, pastor of Tussekiah Baptist Church. All women are asked to wear white.

JULY 9

INDUSTRIAL HEMP OPEN FORUM, 6-8 p.m. at the Environment Education Center at Lancer Park, Farmville. Seats are Limited. Pre-register at (434) 392- 4246 or sheldae@vt.edu.

JULY 9-10

4-H CLOVERBUD DAY CAMP, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Victoria Library for ages 5 – 8. Bring a packed lunch each day. Campers will participate in fun activities, crafts and games. JULY 9-13

REVIVAL, 7 p.m. at Pleasant Oak Baptist Church. There will be different speakers each night. All are welcome.

JULY 11-15

REVIVAL, 7:30 p.m. at Union R.Z.U.A. Church, Meredithville. There will be different speakers each night. Worship Service will commence at 8 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.

JULY 15

SPEAKER, 11 a.m. at Gilfield Baptist Church, Kenbridge, will be the Rev. Jacqueline Morgan. Everyone is welcome to worship with our congregation.

REVIVAL OPENING WORSHIP SERVICE, 3 p.m. at New Grove Baptist Church, Kenbridge with guest preacher the Rev. Violet Oliver, pastor of First Baptist, Victoria. Blackstone Community chorus will provide music.

JULY 16-20

CAMP “FUN” TASTIC at different locations across Lunenburg and surrounding counties for the week for ages 5 – 14. Bring a packed lunch each day unless told differently by the 4-H agent. Activities such as swimming, games, putt putt, and many more fun activities. Spots will be limited to 10 campers. Transportation will be provided from the Lunenburg Extension Office. REVIVAL SERVICES, 7:15 p.m. at New Grove Baptist Church, Kenbridge. The Rev. Dr. Terry D. Streeter, pastor of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Washington, DC will be the guest preacher.

JULY 22

HOMECOMING, 11 a.m. at New Grove Baptist Church, Kenbridge, with echoes from homecomers, visitors and friends. At noon, pastor, the Rev. Curtis W. Bagley, Jr., will conduct the homecoming morning worship service. Dinner will be served.
