Lunenburg County Public Schools announced that schools will be closed Thursday and Friday due to tropical storm conditions from Hurricane Florence.

The school division issued a statement saying the school division and county are monitoring the storm conditions. It directed the public to the county’s dedicated storm line at (434) 696-0501 to receive updates about the weather. The county will provide sheltering that will include charging stations for electronic devices and drinking water. However, when the weather is at its worst, officials warned participants to stay home and not travel on the roads.
