SEPTEMBER 27

MEETING, 6-8 p.m. of the Board of Trustees of the Lunenburg County Library system at Ripberger Library, Kenbridge.

MEETING, noon, of the Lunenburg Chamber of Commerce at Mildred’s Meals in Kenbridge. Glenn Milligan, Community and Economic Development for Lunenburg, will be the guest speaker. New secretaries will be introduced.

SEPTEMBER 28

LUNENBURG COUNTY COMMUNITY CONCERT, 6:40 p.m. at Victoria Baptist Church, intersection of Eighth Street and Washington Avenue, Victoria. Free and open to the public. Handicapped parking available as is elevator.

SEPTEMBER 29

BRUNSWICK STEW, to benefit Laurel Hill United Methodist Church at the home of Stew Master Morrell Harding, 283 Rubermont Road, Victoria. For pre-orders, call (434) 696-2752 or (434) 480-1029. Stew will be ready by noon.

RELIGIOUS SKIT, 3 p.m. entitled “Directions to Jesus House” at New Galilee Baptist Church sponsored by the Missionary Ministry. All are welcome.

BENEFIT, 5-10 p.m. at Waverly Estate, 11586 Courthouse Road, Lunenburg. Proceeds to benefit the Lunenburg Charity Fund and Cullather, Brain Tumor Quality of Life Center. Uncorked will be performing. Come out and support this worthy cause.

COMMUNITY DAY CELEBRATION, 3-6 p.m. at Victoria Church of the Nazarene, 1404 Sixth St., Victoria. There will be food, balloon animals, face painting, games, crafts and fun. A Singspiration will take place after the event.

OCTOBER 3

COLLEGE DAY TOUR, 2-3 p.m. for area 11 and 12th-grade students at SVCC’s Alberta campus. Over 40 colleges, universities will be represented.

OCTOBER 21

PASTOR’S ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Silone Baptist Church for pastor the Rev. Melvin J. Palmer. The Rev. Sharon Baskerville will be the guest speaker along with an invited choir. Dinner will be served. All are welcome.
