Autumn Day festival set for Saturday

Autumn Days in the Town of Victoria is scheduled for Saturday. 

The daylong festival, in its 38th year, includes activities for the whole family and is set to be held at Victoria Railroad Park from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

According to documentation provided by Victoria Town Manager Rodney Newton, there will be a barbecue cook off and live music throughout the day.

The festival is set to coincide with the Theresa Matthews Memorial 5K, which is scheduled to start at 7 a.m. The event honors Matthews, who died of cancer in 2014.

The festival is also expected to have vendors both at the park and at the town community center at 1421 Sixth St., the return of the pet parade,  pony rides, a bouncy house, rock wall, petting zoo, a scavenger hunt, pumpkin painting, corn hole and horseshoe tournaments, and craft beer and wine tasting.

The festival is set to conclude with The Victoria Fire & Rescue Truck and Tractor Pull.

Gates for the pull are set to open at 2 p.m. with a live band set to perform at 3:30 p.m. The pull is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m

The classes of vehicles scheduled for the pull are 6400 Pro Stock, 6200 Open Street, 6200 Small Block, 8000 Pro Diesels, 12,000 Altered Farm, 10,000 Super Pro Farm, Street, Gas and Diesel Trucks and Monster Trucks.
