Eddie Jeter, pictured above on the right, will be inducted into the Dixie Softball Hall of Fame. He was the only person from Virginia to receive the award this year, and he will be the first person from Lunenburg County to receive the award since its move to Dixie in 2006. The announcement was made by District One Director Tony Matthews, pictured above on the left. “What a thrill for me to be able to present this award to Eddie,” Matthews said. “There is not a more deserving youth advocate!” Jeter has spent 30 years as a coach, coaching his children and now his grandchildren. He has been on the board of Lunenburg Girls Softball since its inception in 1998 and has been a faithful volunteer for youth sports.
