September was Attendance Awareness Month and Lunenburg County Public Schools celebrated with numerous activities and contests. A Dress Up Week at the elementary schools during the last week of September. Students who attended all week that week without missing a day were entered into a raffl e. Five prizes were awarded at each school.
All schools participated in our poster contest. The Grand Prize at each school was a Fire 7 Tablet with Alexa. Runners- up at the elementary schools received Comet Cash and Panther Paws. Runners-up at the middle school received LMS T shirts and runners-up at the high school received candy bouquets.
A logo contest was held at the High School. Alexis Elam won that receiving a cash prize and a candy bouquet. The logo will be displayed on the doors of businesses in our community who partner with us in encouraging our students to attend school each and every day.
