Praise

I woke up this morning praising God. I thanked Him for who He is and all that He has done. As I continued to praise Him as I got out of bed and went to my computer to put my thoughts in writing. I wasn’t clear on what I would write, I figured Jesus would guide me. I just opened up my heart and opened up You Tube and started listening to gospel. Before I knew it, I had tears streaming down my face and my hands were raised in worship. We serve a strong, powerful, majestic God who will neither leave nor forsake us.

As I listened to the music, I felt the love of God all around me. I felt like I was wrapped in His arms and He was telling me no matter what you are going through, know that I am here.

Knowing that I have God’s grace and mercy is enough to get me through anything that life may throw my way. I began shouting out to the Lord, “Thank you Jesus. Thank You for who You are. Thank You for the glory You show me daily. Thank You because I know that I couldn’t make it out the door or even get out of the bed without Your love and Your support. You are awesome God and you are worthy to be praised.”

As I was worshipping God a song by J.J Hairston came on. The song is called “You Deserve It.” How fitting, how poignant and then I started singing with the song:

God we give You the glory, hallelujah

God we give You the praise, hallelujah

All the glory, all the glory

All the honor, all the honor

And all the praise

You deserve it

Yes Jesus, You deserve that and then some. You are such a mighty God and my heart swells with love for You. Thank You Father for Your love, Your kindness and Your glory. Be blessed in Jesus’ name.
