Several Kenston Forest School faculty, parents, and students gathered at the Blackstone Presbyterian Church on Oct. 13 to volunteer at the Rise Against Hunger event. Lunenburg Nottoway Educational Foundation Member Jerome Wilson led the event for the church. Frannie Schwabenton, KFS Rotary Interact and FCA sponsor, promoted this event to the KFS students. Rise Against Hunger is an international hunger relief organization that distributes food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable, mobilizing the necessary resources to end hunger by 2030. The volunteers on Saturday packaged 13,319 bagged meals by the end of the day.
