Patricia Mahaney sang the national anthem. Juniela Perez, SGA President, led the students in prayer. Special music was provided by KFS eighth-graders, JD Rimon and Sophie Crowder, and vocalist, KFS sixth-grader Michaela Carson. The guest speaker was Colonel Greg Eanes, U.S. Air Force veteran, from Crewe. Eanes retired from the U.S. Air Force after 34 years of service, in which he was active duty for over 23 years. Eanes is currently a Samuel V. Wilson Fellow and Visiting Lecturer at the Wilson Center for Leadership in the Public Interest at Hampden-Sydney College.
