Lunenburg County Animal Control Officer Ray Elliott who kneels with a dog, spent Thanksgiving night at the Lunenburg County Animal Shelter for the third consecutive year to raise awareness and funds for the importance of spaying and neutering pets. Funds went to the Southside SPCA. Francee Schuma with the Southside SPCA said the fundraiser has collected approximately $8,500 so far. Elliott thanked those who have visited, contributed and sent well wishes for the cause.
